Valamiért kezd olyan érzésem lenni, hogy ez a szervezet a Monsanto-ellenessége mögé bújik, de egész mást csinál. Ne legyen igazam!
Dear friends across Hungary,
In hours, the EU will vote to save our bees from extinction -- but now Hungary is standing in the way! We have one day to tell Agriculture Minister Sándor Fazekas to abandon his plan to sell out to the corporate pesticide lobbyists. Tell him to stand with Europe and save our bees! Call now:
Our community has amazingly come together to save our planet's bees from extinction -- but just as we were on the verge of victory, the Hungarian government may derail the whole thing! We have just hours to stop them.
In hours, the EU will vote on whether to ban killer pesticides that are decimating Europe's bee population and imperilling our food supply. But our Agriculture Minister, Sándor Fazekas, is trying to insert a giant loophole into the plan that would kill our last chance to ban these murderous chemicals. He doesn't think we're watching. Only if we flood his office with messages right now, can we can expose his plan and prevent Hungary from being the country that sealed our bees' fate.
Across Europe, Avaaz members have marched in London and protested in Germany as part of our 2.5 million strong mobilization to save our bees. Now it's Hungary's turn. Let’s flood the Minister with phone calls now -- below is the number to Minister Fazeka's office, Hungary's government office in Brussels, and some tips on what to say – call now, and let’s save our bees!
Minister Fazekas: +36-1-795-3723
Hungary in Brussels: +32 22341200.
Here are some tips on what to say -- remember to be polite and respectful when you call. And keep trying if you don't get through first time.
I’m calling to urge Minister Fazekas to put his urgent support behind the European Commission’s proposal to suspend the use of neonicotinoid pesticides.
I have heard Minister Fazekas has tabled an amendment that would weaken this proposal. I strongly oppose those amendments -- they would make Minister Fazekas and Hungary the spoiler of this necessary measure that has widespread public support.
This proposal is vital if we want to protect our bees who pollinate roughly two-thirds of food crops with a massive value to our agricultural industry.
The European Food Safety Agency – one of Europe’s leading scientific bodies – says these pesticides are an unacceptable risk to bees.
European law is clear – any chemicals that pose a risk to animal, insect or human health must be banned, until such time as they are proven to be safe.
Do send this email to any other people who might like to make a call today. And, click here once you’ve called to post a message:

For nearly 2 years, we’ve been campaigning to save bees from these toxic pesticides. Today, we’re so close to winning. Let’s keep up the vital pressure at this 11th hour to make sure we win the day!
With hope,
Iain, Alex, Luis, Meredith, Mary, Sam and the rest of the Avaaz team
